Fiction Books

Tim loves writing contemporary mystery, adventure, and suspense novels for youth. Sometimes
the most powerful way to convey truth is through fiction ... a great, powerful story.

Writing-Philosophy

Well-written stories are powerful and can convey truth like nothing else can. Nuggets of truth go straight to the heart.

Tim doesn’t write down to his readers, and he’s a firm believer that stories don’t need bad
language or romance to be “real” or to hold a reader’s attention. Tim is careful not to make all parents look like idiots ... because they’re not. Instead of using those “lazy writing” tactics, Tim works hard to write great, powerful stories and create characters who resonate with the readers. Tim’s fiction is not preachy, and definitely would not be characterized in any way by the word “hokey.”

His novels are a great choice when parents want to read-aloud to their kids. Mom or Dad won’t be bored while they’re reading! And reading aloud to the kids—even through the teenage years—is a great way to help them gain a love for reading. Their vocabulary and comprehension skyrockets.

But as school bullies retaliate and Hudson’s plans to stop them get out of hand, Hudson fears he’s making the situation worse. The more he tries to help his new friends, the more he hurts others.

Too late Hudson learns who the real easy target is. What happens when that person’s hurt is so big, she believes she’s beyond fixing? And what happens
